There are 3 Main Parts of a Golf Club
GRIP
THE ENTIRE GAME STARTS HERE.
- This is the top part of the club where the golfer holds on.
- It’s usually made of rubber or synthetic material for comfort and traction.
- It wraps around the shaft and can be customized for size, texture, and feel.
Shaft
- The long, tapered tube that connects the grip to the clubhead.
- Usually made of steel or graphite, depending on the desired weight and flexibility.
- The flex (stiffness) of the shaft affects swing mechanics and ball flight.
Clubhead
- The bottom part of the club that actually strikes the ball.
- Varies in shape and design based on club type (driver, iron, wedge, putter).
- Includes the face (striking surface), hosel (where it connects to the shaft), and sometimes the sole (bottom of the head that interacts with the ground).
